Aloha, I’m so stoked you’re here!
I’m Sophia and I’ve lived in O’ahu for the last 20 years and have been a photographer for 12 years.
Hawai’i is where I met my husband and where we have been raising our two kids - living our island life with lots of time spent in the ocean.
I’m super laid back and a hard core introvert, but my photographer persona makes it super fun for us to shoot together, and honestly that’s what I focus the most on: making sure you are comfortable around me and that you’re having an amazing time while I point my camera at you and your loved ones.
Making magic together and creating rad images together is where my passion lies.
So, let’s do this thing!
THE OCEAN IS A REALLY IMPORTANT PART OF MY LIFE.
I grew up on the coast, in the Northeast of Brazil, where I would spend my Summers at my grandparents’ beach house playing in the ocean all day.
Later, in my teen years, surfing and scuba diving were all I wanted to do. In fact, surfing is what brought me to Hawai’i in the first place.
I feel most at home in the water.
Today, I get to create art in the ocean and I get to share a little bit of my passion for the water with you.
SOME RANDOM FACTS ABOUT ME:
1- I am obsessed with black coffee. No sugar, no cream. Just creamy espresso with a dash of hot water.
2- I have 2 french bulldogs: Sunny and Sky.
3- Heavy deadlifts are more super power. My current personal best is 290lbs.
4- I can hold my breath for 2 minutes and 39 seconds the last time I checked.
5- We live off grid in a tiny house that my husband built himself. He’s pretty rad.
