Sailing to Waimea Bay - Oahu, Hawaii Family Photographer

We had the great opportunity to take the kids sailing for the first time recently. According to my mom, I used to go on my dad's sailboat all the time as a baby - but I really have no memories of that, so it was like sailing for the first time for me as well.

We went from Haleiwa boat harbor to Waimea Bay, and I was very hopeful we would see some humpback whales so Lukka could get his whale fix. But all the marine life seemed to be hiding... we saw a couple of flying fish, but that was it.

It was a great adventure and I'm all for getting the kids used to being comfortable with the ocean in as many ways as I possibly can.
