A Maui Babymoon on Land and Water | Hawaii Maternity Photographer

Mary contacted me on instagram when she saw this underwater maternity photo I posted. She wanted to come to Maui for her babymoon and wanted to fly me over to capture her first pregnancy. Mary and Maks are originally from the Ukraine and now live in California. She used to be a ballerina so her body awareness was incredible both on land and underwater, as well as her confidence in herself. I will never get tired of saying how pregnant women are beautiful. We have to own that and be confident in our beauty and this amazing thing our bodies are doing. I’m so thankful I get to portray that beauty through my pictures.

Also, this was the first time a turtle sneaked by while we were shooting in the water. We shot at a popular snorkeling spot so there were some people that chased the turtle away and I was so upset, but there’s one shot where I got both Mary and the turtle in the frame <3 Scroll down to see it!
