A Moody Maternity Waterfall Shoot // Oahu, Hawaii Maternity Photographer

We hiked for about 45 minutes each way with lots of step up and downs. This amazing woman was 35 weeks pregnant and she is super fit so I knew she could make it.

I took 2 backpacks: one with my regular gear and the other with my water housing - because I had a feeling I would need it.

We got rained on. Like, a lot of rain. Jaclyn was amazing and embraced the rain and the ruggedness of the photos. We also had to maneuver around another 10-12 hikers that were at the waterfall when we were shooting so that was interesting.

This waterfall is Oahu’s tallest waterfall but the hike can be brutal and super muddy, so I always use extra caution when attempting a shoot there.
